Woody Ireland

WoodyIreland Lynwood “Woody” Ireland earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967. Following his military service he worked for Dupont as a chemical engineer. He resides in Ritchie County and serves in the West Virginia House of Delegates as a representative for District 7. He is also an auctioneer.

Woody is active in West Virginia agriculture programs. He is a member of the WV Farm Bureau, the WV Cattlemen’s Association and is a past chairman of the Ritchie County Fair. He is also a member of the National Rifle Association. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Ritchie County Community Fund and is a trustee for White Oak United Methodist Church. He is a 4-H All-Star, past club leader and the current president of the Ritchie County 4-H Development Council.

Woody has been married for more than 40 years to the same great lady and they have two children and four grandchildren.
